Pandorum was her debut in English. The actress has received international acclaim for portraying the indestructible evil character Faora (in Man of Steel, the 2013 Superman film Man of Steel) and Agnes Nielsen (in the German Netflix Dark) and Agnes Nielsen (in the German Netflix series Dark). In a school production, she was Jeanne d'Arc. She won the leading role in the debut Hip Hopera produced by the International Munich Art Lab at 16 years old. Traue was a part of the Hip Hopera's production, which toured four seasons, appearing in Germany Europe as well as New York City. Traue continued to be featured in television shows such as Kleinruppin Forever Berlin at Meer, and Phantomschmerz. Traue was the female protagonist in Pandorum directed by Christian Alvart. Born in New York, she grew as a child on the island of Jamaica. She was born in New York to Jamaican parents. She earned a BSc in Chemistry from Stony Brook University in Chemistry.
