Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the flyweight division. Valentina is her elder sister, as well as a fellow UFC competitors. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports began with her debut as a Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina kept her winning streak going by getting bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, and a gold medal in 2011 and the year-end 2016 IFMA amateur world champion. Antonia began her professional journey when she was in the year 2003. She has taken home numerous championships, including the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, as well as the WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas last at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko set professional MMA records in 2002, when she fought Anara Bazanova during the KFK Championship of Kyrgystan. Shevchenko won against Anissa through a unanimous decision, before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's striking skills were superior and allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded a UFC contract following this win. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne modafferi by split decision following her first bout. Antonina bounced back from losing to beat Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She fought Ariane Lipski but she was also defeated by Ariane. Antonina recently lost by TKO in round two to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
